What is Scola Magis?
An always online, always available Philippine BAR review platform that aims to provide access to quality lectures from esteemed Law Professionals and Educators to aspiring Lawyers from all across the country. Scola Magis aims to bridge the educational gap that is present for those who are experiencing challenges (be it financial, or logistical) in acquiring current and relevant review materials for the annual Philippine BAR Exam.
Humble Beginnings
Scola Magis was the brainchild of a group of friends who call themselves the “Caballeros” (lit. Spanish cavalier or knight). The Caballeros share a common root – all of them hail from Zamboanga City, the Latin City of the Philippines.
Louell Saavedra, the tech savvy person of the group, headed a partnership with Rightjob Solutions to create an online, full-featured review website. For lecture content creation, they reached out to the attorneys who would become the first lecturers for the website, namely: Atty. Nicasio Cabaneiro for Taxation Law, and the father and son power duo, Atty. Paulino Ungos Jr. and Atty. Paul Ungos III, both of whom are the Labor Law lecturers for the site.
More qualified lecturers are being contacted and their videos will be added soon! Scola Magis lecturers are chosen not only for their mastery of their chosen niche, but also for their extensive teaching experience. This has been the established standard in selecting lecturer candidates who will propel students’ chances in passing the BAR exams.
