Be Your Own Boss

Ensuring that entrepreneurship programs are responsive to the needs of out-of-school youth, Opportunity 2.0 and DTI have incorporated the Be Your Own Boss curriculum into DTI’s Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP). Be Your Own Boss or BYOB builds youths’ core skills in business planning, business start-up, and ongoing business management.

Through training, structured coaching, and market facilitation strategies, this equips the youth with the mindset and skills that meet local markets’ needs. Currently, over 80 DTI personnel have been trained on BYOB, which is now being implemented not just in Opportunity 2.0 sites but also in other cities.
